Biography
Associate Professor, Department of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Engineering, Musashino University. Born in Kobe, Japan. Ph.D. (Engineering). Completed undergraduate studies at the Department of Architecture, Kyoto University (2013), and received an M.Eng. from the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University (2015). Completed coursework for the doctoral program at Kyoto University in 2018. Served as a JSPS Research Fellow (DC2) in 2016, and as an Assistant Professor at Kyoto University from 2018. Appointed as a Full-Time Lecturer at Musashino University in 2021, and promoted to Associate Professor in 2026. Research focuses on architecture, urban planning, and design studies. He explores architecture as a social process, developing methodologies for self-organizing environmental design through dialogue, with particular attention to residents’ narratives and value-making processes. Co-founder of the design unit OKAAA. Major architectural works include House Alongside, Research Commons at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University, and Learning Commons at Kyoto University Library.
略歴
武蔵野大学工学部建築デザイン学科 准教授
神戸市生まれ。博士（工学）。2013年京都大学工学部建築学科卒業、2015年同大学大学院工学研究科建築学専攻修士課程修了。2018年同博士後期課程研究指導認定退学。2016年日本学術振興会特別研究員（DC2）、2018年京都大学大学院工学研究科建築学専攻助教を経て、2021年武蔵野大学工学部建築デザイン学科専任講師、2026年より同准教授。
専門は建築・都市計画およびデザイン学。社会プロセスとしての建築を主題に、生活者のナラティブや価値づけに着目し、対話を通じて育まれる自己組織的な環境デザインの方法論を研究している。デザインユニットOKAAA共同主宰。主な設計作品に「側の家」「京都大学東南アジア地域研究研究所リサーチコモンズ」「京都大学附属図書館ラーニングコモンズ」など。
